My Testimony

As I reflect back on my own individualized testimony of the Book of Mormon and how much it has grown, even over just the past few months, and now seeing where my testimony of the Book of Mormon is now... is absolutely amazing! I truly feel a deeper love and power that is contained within this wonderful book! I know without a doubt that this book contains the word of God and was brought forth by the prophet Joseph Smith. He sacrificed everything for the Lord, so that He could be such a tremendous hand in bringing about the Lord's purposes. I am so grateful for his sacrifice and for the devotion and love he had in the work of which he was apart. I know that I am deeply blessed to have such a loving Heavenly Father who would bring forth such a life-changing book for all of us here in the latter-days, to ponder and to read each and every day. I know it helps start off my day right. I know it is true. Every word. The Book of Mormon is a guide to help us reach our ultimate goal, to have eternal life and to live with our Heavenly Father once again. Right now, as your choose to walk this path, you may be forgiven completely of your sins through baptism done by the proper priesthood authority of God. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is what makes this ALL possible for us. He does not ask us to do it alone. He is always with us along the path through mortality, and sends us the greatest gift we could ever have in this life. The gift of the Holy Ghost, which remains as our constant companion through life to receive direction and power through God's hand. Today, in this moment, read the Book of Mormon to find out for yourself the truth of which it holds.

Jesus Christ IS The Way!

We had the privilege this past week to hear from Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge and truly received great direction and love through the Spirit that he brought as he spoke about the Doctrine of Christ. This talk is one that I have chosen to read recently and have pondered on. I would invite you to ponder the words which have been spoken so eloquently for yourself. I know that you will feel of that same love and direction that we too felt amongst his presence.

To My Hero

"Behold, it came to pass that I, Enos (Sister-Michele Arave), knowing my father that he is a just man-- for he taught me in his language, and also in the nurture and admonition of the Lord--and blessed be the name of my God for it." (Enos 1:1)

Everyone has a hero, particularly when we are young. When we choose heroes, we begin to copy, consciously or unconsciously, what we admire most in them. Today, I would like to talk to you about my hero. My Dad is my hero. He is a man who constantly helped others, even at great personal sacrifice. The service he offers makes a big difference in other people’s lives. I had many sports heroes all growing up, but none of them compare to my Dad. I am so grateful for my Dad and for the wonderful example he is to me. He has been there for me through thick and thin, and has loved me through it all. He always pushed me to be the very best I can be. He came to every sporting event no matter what state or country it was in, to every dance routine, to every piano recital no matter how much I practiced, and to every graduation. He taught me how to dribble a ball, ride a bike, jump start a car, be a friend and to never give up no matter what. My Dad has always pushed me to fulfill my dreams and has been right there every step of the way! He has taught me to love as our Heavenly Father and Savior loves, with all my heart, without fail, and the importance of Him in my everyday life. I know it is because of him that I am who I am today. It was his example and his love of the Savior that made me want to know my Heavenly Father  even more. I can't thank Heavenly Father
enough for blessing me with such a great and amazing Dad! Happy Fathers Day to you Dad! I love you! :)

Endings Are Not Our Destiny

Temples have always symbolized in the presence of the Lord. "Let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them." saith the Lord. "And there I will meet thee, and I will commune with thee" (Ex. 25:8, 22). There is a closeness to God that comes through consistent worship in the House of the Lord. We can come to know Him and welcome," at home," in His house.
With temples in so many places around the world, more of us will have them nearby to remind us of Christ and His sacrifice for us. The simple presence of a temple should serve as a reminder of covenants we have made, the need for integrity, and the fact that God is never far away. -Elder Maxwell and Elder Uchtdorf

I know that I have been blessed by attending the temple and have definitely felt the presence of the Lord there. He has truly given me experiences in the temple that will never leave my memory, because they are that special to me. He has in fact answered prayers for me in the temple, and I know He can do the same for you. Plan a day today to walk into those sacred doors and come closer to your Beloved Father in Heaven who love you. Endings are not our destiny, only everlasting beginnings, which the temple reminds us of.
