My Testimony

As I reflect back on my own individualized testimony of the Book of Mormon and how much it has grown, even over just the past few months, and now seeing where my testimony of the Book of Mormon is now... is absolutely amazing! I truly feel a deeper love and power that is contained within this wonderful book! I know without a doubt that this book contains the word of God and was brought forth by the prophet Joseph Smith. He sacrificed everything for the Lord, so that He could be such a tremendous hand in bringing about the Lord's purposes. I am so grateful for his sacrifice and for the devotion and love he had in the work of which he was apart. I know that I am deeply blessed to have such a loving Heavenly Father who would bring forth such a life-changing book for all of us here in the latter-days, to ponder and to read each and every day. I know it helps start off my day right. I know it is true. Every word. The Book of Mormon is a guide to help us reach our ultimate goal, to have eternal life and to live with our Heavenly Father once again. Right now, as your choose to walk this path, you may be forgiven completely of your sins through baptism done by the proper priesthood authority of God. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is what makes this ALL possible for us. He does not ask us to do it alone. He is always with us along the path through mortality, and sends us the greatest gift we could ever have in this life. The gift of the Holy Ghost, which remains as our constant companion through life to receive direction and power through God's hand. Today, in this moment, read the Book of Mormon to find out for yourself the truth of which it holds.

Forever Changed ;)

This past year, 2014, has definitely been one of the greatest and most memorable years of my life!  I've had the incredible opportunity to be a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this entire year and I've loved every single second of it!! I'm so grateful for all the amazing people I've met, will continue to meet and for how much my testimony of this gospel has grown! This one year has changed my life more than I can ever put into words, and I can never thank everyone enough who's been a part of it! I cried making this video, because my heart is so full with love for the people in it.  Thank you, and if you're not in the video, thank you also, because sometimes the things that mean the most aren't captured by my camera(: Love you all! Here is to the New Year! Let's make it count! ;D

Spirit of Christmas ;)

“When we keep the spirit of Christmas, we keep the Spirit of Christ, for the Christmas spirit is the Christ Spirit. It will block out all the distractions around us which can diminish Christmas and swallow up its true meaning." While the Christmas season is typically a time for looking back and celebrating the birth of our Lord, it seems to me that it should also be a time of looking to the future. Let us look forward. Let us prepare for that blessed day when He will come again. Let us be as wise as those ancients who watched for His coming. As His disciples, let us have in our hearts and minds the words of John: “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

Sometimes it is difficult to find those peaceful moments that are so important during Christmas time. It’s in those moments that we remember our Savior Jesus Christ, and we grow closer to Him. I am so grateful to be a witness of Him this holiday season and to spread what brings me the most happiness. We each have the wonderful opportunity to be His angels in spreading glad tidings of great joy to all of His children. How can we celebrate the true reason for this holiday season?

Wonderful time of the year!

This Christmas, let us have our hearts drawn towards the Savior for He is our true source of comfort, peace and joy!

Preparing for Christmas

When we prepare for Christmas by pondering its real meaning, we prepare to experience the Christ and His message.
President Dieter F Uchtdorf shared three ways that we can prepare:
1.Rejoice in the Savior’s birth.
2.Ponder the Savior’s influence in our lives today.
3.Look steadfastly for the Savior’s coming.
By doing these things and looking for the good in the season, “we can see this time of year with new eyes—perhaps even with the eyes of a child.” Then, he said, perhaps our hearts, like the Grinch’s heart, will change as we look beyond the worldly aspect of Christmas and come to understand and refocus on the true meaning of Christmas.

This is my Grandma! My grandma has always been so supportive in everything that I do. She would come to my graduations, band concerts, athletic events, and even piano recitals. She has shared so many stories with me whether it was about Santa Claus falling out of an airplane or about her family and how much she loved them. She has been such an example to me! Ever since I could remember, every time she saw me, she would say, "Wow...have you been on the stretch rack this week? Well, whatever you are doing, it's working!"

I love my Grandma so much! Thank you Grandma for always loving me, encouraging me and believing in me. I am so blessed and lucky to have a grandma like you to look up to! ‪#‎MeetMyGrandmother‬

Temple As Our Beacon

There is no place in the world where I feel closer to the Lord than in one of His holy temples. In the temple, the precious plan of God is taught. It is in the temple that eternal covenants are made. The temple lifts us, exalts us, stands as a beacon for all to see, and points us toward celestial glory. It is the house of God. The temple is for families, one of the greatest treasures we have in mortality. As we touch the temple and love the temple, our lives will reflect our faith. As we go to the holy house, as we remember the covenants we make therein, we will be able to bear every trial and overcome each temptation. The temple provides purpose for our lives. It brings peace to our souls—not the peace provided by men but the peace promised by the Son of God when He said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
